Preparing for Assessment & Rating

cathryn lavery 67852

This workshop is suitable for Emerging Leaders in Early Childhood
The time leading up to Assessment and Rating (A&R) against the National Quality Standards can be a time of stress, nerves and overwhelm. This workshop will support you to reduce the stress of A&R, and give you achievable and effective strategies to guide your team to focus on successful preparation.

Through discussion and collaboration, you will:

  • clarify the NQF requirements and A&R process
  • establish useful ways to share this information within your team
  • explore ways to use the QIP as a tool for self-assessment, and a meaningful and 'live' document in your centre focusing on QA1
  • identify productive ways to review the QIP across all stakeholder levels
  • understand and gain confidence in each step of the A&R process from notification through to assessment, and finally rating and review
  • explore strategies to ensure all staff understand what may be required of them during the A&R visit

Behaviour Rethink eLearning course endorsement

... The ways in which pedagogy and practice are woven throughout these exceptionally thoughtful videos, visuals and reproducibles enables educators and their teams to weave best practices into every moment of respectful relationship with the children in their care and with each other.

I am grateful to have experienced this inspiring course and would highly recommend it to all educational professionals across Australia, in every country, and in the U.S., in every state."
