Critical reflection to feed professional growth and QIP progress series

720 Team work

This workshop series is suitable for emerging leaders in Early Childhood

FEB 11: Using critical reflection for improved practice and professional growth
Instead of working with our 'blinkers on' and staying in the 'same old ways', explore how to use critical reflection to unpack new ideas and work towards best practices.

You will discuss and use:

  • a critical reflection tool to discuss and examine practice, using the process ASK, LOOK, THINK and DO
  • multiple perspectives to gain insights, enrich decision making and identify new actions to be taken
  • insights, feedback and support networks to develop a professional plan to continue your own professional growth

MAR 11: QIP know-how and shifting to a team approach for quality improvement
This series explores and discusses:

  • strategies to develop a positive team culture focused on quality improvement
  • how to receive feedback and consult with stakeholders
  • use the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to identify issues in your centre for NQS Element 3.2.3 around sustainability
  • practise skills in getting the team onboard and using the QIP - you will set SMART goals, action steps and success measures, towards improvement in NQS Element 3.2.3
  • consider the resources and professional development required to reach these goals.
